How Can I Get Involved?

Study Participant

There are two routes to participation in this project. The study participant route is for patients only and involves us accessing health data so we can link information such as age, pain scores, certain test results with answers to, for example, surveys and interviews you take part in as part of the project. This is so we can link the health status of our local population to the outcomes of the project. All data will be anonymised to protect your identity and we will only be using collective statistics (summaries of all the data collected from study participants) not individual results.

For this we will need your consent to access your health data. You will be invited to take part in focus groups, surveys and interviews that will inform decisions and shape the trajectory of the project.

Panel of Experts Route (Patients, Loved Ones & Staff)

Another route to participation for those who are eager to get involved but would prefer that we do not have access to their health data is the ‘Panel of Experts’ route. This is made up of patients, loved ones and staff who will be invited to share their thoughts and opinions and advise on themes that emerge from the project.
