What is involved?
All study participants should have a discussion with a member of the project team who can go through the Patient Information Leaflet (which explains study participation in detail) and answer any questions you may have. They will then have you read through and complete a consent form to join the study. This will require your signature.

Alternative methods of giving informed consent
For those unable to attend face to face sessions we have the option to book in with the clinical care team for an online meeting. This meeting will be held over Microsoft Teams in which potential candidates will be sent digital versions of the Information Sheet and Informed Consent Form which they can sign with an e-signature software.
Verbal consent can also be obtained provided the session is recorded and the participant’s verbal consent is included in the recording prior to the start of the session. The participant will need to confirm that they have read the consent form in advance.
Once you have completed an expression on interest form you will be invited to book in for an Informed Consent meeting if necessary.
